ROSE BOWL pres. by Citi

Jan. 1, 2010 @ 5p. ET

Pasadena, CA

OREGON (-3.5) v. OHIO ST.

Ohio State has lost like some three BCS Bowls in a row. Two of which were for the National Championship. That is not a good sign. Terelle Pryor has not had a good year and the pundits were saying that he may have actually regressed from his phenomenal freshman year. Oregon on the other hand is playing well with weapons galore starting with their QB Masoli (sounds like a cheap cooking oil), who is a certifiable star.

Pick: Oregon (-3.5)

ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL

Jan. 1, 2010 @ 8:30p. ET

New Orleans, LA

CINNCINATI v. FLORIDA (-11)

This matchup has become more compelling this week with the on again off again “retirement” of Urban Meyer, and the former coach of Cinncinati leaving that ball club and heading to South Bend. Both teams now have extra emotional incentive, so that should be a push. The only difference is Florida’s coach will be there and Cincy’s will not. Cincy’s offense is high powered and the layoff will affect both teams.

Pick: Cincinnati (+11)

TOSTITOS FIESTA BOWL

Jan. 4, 2010 @ 8p. ET

Glendale, AZ

TCU (-7) v. BOISE ST.

The TCU Horned Frogs may be one of the 5 undefeated teams with the biggest gripe not to be in the National Championship game. Strenghting the need for a playoff.  Their resume’ is pretty impressive. I do not believe they will have a let down because they are not in the big Game, or not matched up against one of the BCS powerhouses, simply because they knew their fate from the beginning. Boise St. is not playing as well as their other undefeated season and Bosie St. does not have the horses that TCU has, this one will not be close.

Pick: TCU (-7)

FEDEX ORANGE BOWL

Jan. 5, 2010 @ 8p. ET

Miami, FL

IOWA v. GEORGIA TECH (-4)

Watching Georgia Tech run the option brings back fond memories of playing little league football in the late ’80′s. When the wrambling wreck has it going it is a work of art. Is it going to be enough against Iowa, who was only a few plays away from not being mentioned in the National Championship debate. This by far is the hardest gam to pick, if you have seen either team play. DLR is going to go with the team with a little better passing attack, and active defense.

Pick: IOWA (+4)

Citi NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Jan. 7, 2010 @ 8:30p. ET

Pasadena, CA

TEXAS v. ALABAMA (-4)

The national Championship Game, Man-O-Man. So many ways to go with this. Do you fall in to the hype regarding the Heisman trophy winners lack of major success in this game, do I look at the last game Texas played and think, its no way they can let one man disrupt their offense so, and expect them to play well vs. Alabama may be the best defense in the country. That is the way DLR is leaning, mark Ingraham and the boys are gonna Roll Tide Roll. And there is also a decided advantage on the sideline in Ole Nick Saban vs. Mack Brown who has long been known for not winning the “Big One” until Vince Young ran roughshod over USC a few years ago.

Pick: ALABAMA (-4)

That’s it enjoy ALL the Bowl games get your popcorn ready and pull up a seat. And remember Resolutions are for suckers!
