Baseball players are an interesting bunch. Here is DLR’s list of Baseball players that found themselves on the other side of the law, none involving steroids. Here’s our list:

.) Dwight ” Doc” Gooden – One of the greatest pitchers of his time, Dwight Gooden has had a few off the court issues. Doc was arrested for, fleeing police, and violation of parole (drugs). Like my man Rick J said, RIP, “cocaine is a helluva drug”

.) Darryl Strawberry – One of the best all around players and sluggers of his time, Darryl was arrested of, drug possesion & solicitation of a prostitute. I guess the Superfreak was right.

.) Pete Rose – Nope, nothing to do with gambling, Ole Charlie Hustle was convicted of tax evasion. Not sure how much, but honestly if we could all put a little away for a rainy day and not have it taxed, of course you would.
.) Denny McClain – This MLB old-Timer of the championship Tigers time of 1968, and Cy Young winner, was convicted of druf traficking, embezzlement & racketeering. That is one hell of a trifecta for ya.
.) Ugeth Urbina – Ugeth or Uggie is currently serving a 14 year sentence on 2 charges of attempted murder. Uggie is from Venezuela, and Venezualan women are some of the prettiest women on the planet. WooooWeeee!
.) Luis Polonia – Luis was convicted of sex with a minor. What is more shocking, that a MLB player has to have sex with a minor or the fact that he only got 60 days?
.) 1919 Chicago White Sox – Supposedly out of dislike for the owner, the 1919 Chicago White Sox conspired to lose the World Series. As a result 8 players were banned for life. This team is also known as the Chicago Black Sox because the owner ordered the players to was their own jerseys, subsequently the players said “No’ and you can imagine what that situation was like.
.) Sidney Ponson – Sidney has two DUI’s under his belt. One in Baltimore, the other in Florida. If you had to spend the majority of your career with the Orioles, then you would probably understand.
.) Elijah Dukes - Elijah has been charged three times for battery, one time for assault. We in the business call this being a recidivist. Becauuse of his pat he now has a guy to “accompany” him where ever he goes to keep him out of trouble. I bet sometimes that can get annoying, or be very convenient when you may have had a few too many to drive home.
.) Greg Anderson - Barry Bonds trainer. Since Barry has yet to go to trial or prison, we couldnt get him. So we got the next best thing. Greg Anderson has spent a considerable amount of time in jail for contemt of court, for refusing to tetify against his meal ticket, I mean main man Barry. So shoutout to you Greg. Stay loyal.
