April 3rd.. Or April Fools??

I can remember when I really wanted to see this fight.  But that was I think about 15 years ago.  SMDH!! at these two for even trying to pull this off.  I mean come on, Roy Jones has been “In my best Chris Tucker Voice” (Knocked The F*ck Out!!) time and time again.   And just a few months back by somebody I don’t even know.  WOW!!!  Is Roy Jones the new Evander Holyfield?  Another fighter who just doesn’t know when to quit?

One thing that seems to plague fighter’s is when the boxing career is over they don’t have anything to fall back on.   Half are poorly educated, and hasn’t had anyone in their lives to provide any kind of financial structure.  So when the career ends so does the cash flow and I am talking millions.  Sad but true!!  I’m not trying to imply that this has anything to do with Roy Jones’ career, hell the man was a part of the Jordan Brand at one time so I hope he isn’t doing bad financially but the way things are going today who can tell..  All I know is getting KO’d time and time again will surely do some seriour damage to the brain. 

I guess this is a part of the life style; the friends tend to go when the cash slows up, the ladies don’t seem to like you as much when your not the star, and your fight paychecks seem to get smaller and smaller until your damn near fighting for Minimum wage per round.  So maybe this is Roy’s last stand and maybe (and I do mean maybe) the glass chin will get some strenght in the jaw bone to make this an interesting fight.  But when you have Slow Starting Bernard Hopkins and I’m trying to show you I still got it Roy Jones,what can I say other than,  if Roy isn’t asleep by the 2nd round you sure could be.  Oh well this will surely be a fight watched week 2 on HBO or Showtime for free if I remember..  LOL.

But if your bored the fight will take place April 3rd, 2010, on Pay Per View at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas at 9pm ET/6pm PT.  Will you be watching?
