6 Day’s & Counting

For the last 10 years, Lil Wayne has been hip-hop’s great unstoppable force, a 24-hour-a-day maniac with a mic and no one to stop him. But time is running out on the superstar you see on February 9th, Lil Wayne will have to put down the mic, weed, drink, every girl, etc. — for 12 months, when he reports to prison to serve a sentence for gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City. ( “NEW YORK CITY!!! Get The Rope). If you’ve seen the Barbeque Sauce Commercial you would know what I’m talking about.
Rolling Stone has been on Lil Wayne’s coat tail trying to get the 411 and the latest gossip from Weezy before his last day on the streets. I mean they have been with the man 24/7. Well today the just released their new issue, which is on sale at newsstands today.
“I don’t like to stop,” Wayne tells RS‘ Chris Norris. “I believe you stop when you die.” So in the weeks before he reports to Rikers Island, Wayne is keeping busy — recording tracks bound for Tha Carter IV (the album Cash Money staffers call “C4″ because it’ll be the bomb), shooting videos with his Young Money protégés, spending time with his growing family, and deliberately not asking anyone for advice about life on the inside. “This is Lil Wayne going to jail. Nobody I can talk to can tell me what that’s like,” he says. “I just say I’m looking forward to it.”
While Weezy’s away, his label is relocating to New York to be near him, and his manager Cortez Bryant is exploring ways to keep Wayne in his fans’ minds for the duration — from jailhouse Twitter accounts to endorsements. “I’ll have an iPod, and I”ll make sure they keep sending me beats,” Lil Wayne says. Tha Carter IV — which Norris is told features tougher, faster beats — is scheduled to arrive shortly after he gets out.
Can you say $2 Milli in a week?? That joint is going to be fire. Hell I am still waiting for T.I. to drop a new album. I heard the new single with Big Boi, “Tangerine” and I have to say a year out of the Studio has made TIP the voice you want to here right now with his raw lyrics that sound as if he just came straight from the gutter. Well he did just come straight from the gutter. But I digress this article is about Weezy F. Baby..
Lil Wayne’s album “The Rebirth” has finally set to release and the talk behind the scene’s say you may be better off waiting for the Carter IV or C4. This CD will supposedly have tracks from inside Riker’s Island while Lil Wayne’s doing time.. All I can say is Keep you head up and “GET YOUR PANTS OFF THE GROUND”. That’s damn sure not the spot for that. Maybe you and Plaxico could hook up and keep each other company. Hell two rich nukka’s in jail damn sure should have a hell of a lot of stories to tell.. And get this, their sh*t would be true story. Heck if somebody is smart that could take minute’s from the convo, it would make Oprah”s Best Seller’s list the day it drops. LOL..
